Your Purpose – your WHY, is the internal motivator that’ll keep you going when times get tough. Don’t be fooled by the barrage of motivational quotes on #motivationmonday. Those are external motivators. Think of them as having the capacity to change your perspective, but most often have little behavioral effect. This means all the quotes in the world won’t get you to your goal. Why is that? They’re motivational by nature.
Your WHY comes from within. It keeps you on planet Earth. It INSPIRES your will to continue. Without it, we are lost – whether we are conscious of it or not. If you question what your purpose is in life, then you’re consciously lost, trying to find your why. Being unconscious could take the form of being overweight, dreading your career, in a sham of a relationship, or simply not happy; not fulfilled. As you can see, having a WHY is important in terms of success, fulfillment, and contribution. You need one. Whether you’re conscious or not, in other words – being aware of your purpose or not, is important because it will inspire your will to continue on towards your goals when faced with difficult obstacles.
Your coach will help you establish your purpose, your WHY – FIRST. Without it, we cannot effectively inspire you nor can you motivate yourself.
When you’ve established your purpose, the next step is to outline your priorities. This one is a tad bit easier, because your behaviors will highlight these. Your fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle programming must be in alignment with your top priorities, else we see a raise in inconsistent behavior and you will feel like every task is HARD to start and/or accomplish. Therefore, it is our job to make sure the program and recommendations we create for you are in alignment with your top priorities, so that starting feels smooth, effortless, and exciting!
Real change and success is then and ONLY then, achieved. Now we can start planning your GOAL or GOALS – to be continued!
